Symptom:

The pallet doesn’t get indexed.

The Locate Unit is not controlled correctly

Check the valve or controls

Reset and restore the compressed air supply

The locate pin is not engaging into the pallet correctly

Re-adjust the location of the Locate Unit

Symptom:

The pallet gets lifted when the locate pin fires up.

Root Cause:
The position of the Locate Unit is not correct and the locate pin does not engage into the index bushing
Remedial Action:
Re-arrange the location of the Locate Unit

Symptom:

The end positions don’t get detected.

Root Cause:
Sensors are defective, switching distance or position of the sensors are not correct
Remedial Action:
Replace, adjust or rearrange the sensors
Root Cause:
The mechanical plunger is not extended and blocks the index pin to go down
Remedial Action:
Check, if the sensors align with the target in both end positions

Symptom:

The Locate pin does not move into its lower end position, even with pneumatic power and it is blocking the conveyor.

Root Cause:
The mechanical plunger of the indexing pin is locked and blocks the locate pin
Remedial Action:
Lock the plunger in its extended position and try manually to push the index pin all the way down to detect mechanical blockings
